
Young, enthusiastic and progressive in thought and action, Mr. Manish Sinha, Principal of Delhi Public School, Gandhidham, has a rich experience of teaching and academic administration of sixteen years. A postgraduate in Botany [M.Sc] with specialization in Environmental Biology, he started his teaching career with the prestigious Daly College [IPSC member school, affiliated to the CBSE], Indore, after getting the teacher training degree [B.Ed] from the Central Institute of Education, Delhi University. He served Vidyasagar School [CBSE], Indore, for a year and then moved to Progressive Education School [ICSE], Indore, where he worked for a long period of time as one of the pioneers of the Institution.
Having a degree [M.Ed] in Educational Management, Mr. Sinha took the challenge of leading Gurukul School [CBSE], Dhamnod, as its founder Principal in 2003 and very soon he brought a revolutionary change in the educational scenario of the region. Not only this, he is credited to help Stanford International Girls’ School [CBSE], Ujjain, and Golden International School [CBSE], Indore, to start from scratch and gain repute within a very short period of time.
Recipient of the National Merit Scholarship from the Government of India and a merit scholarship from Delhi University, Mr. Sinha is a life member of AIAER [All India Association for Educational Research]. He has attended many workshops and seminars and has also conducted a few as the resource person.
As a Principal, Mr. Sinha is famous to help his faculty members to bring out the best of them through TRD [Teachers Resource Development] programme. An expert in curriculum planning and implementation through enquiry, research, projects and activity based methods, he knows how to teach study skills to students while maintaining fun in learning. He is lucky that he has taught different age groups of children and thus he has working experience of the psychology of the student community. Well known for PRD [Parents Resource Development], Mr. Sinha involves parents and the community as an equal partner in the schooling process.
Mr. Sinha advocates use of phonetics in school. In his opinion, it’s a wonderful method for acquiring independent and correct reading skills. He supports the Montessori and EPL [Exercises of Practical Life] based activities for young learners. He trains his students in the art of answer writing skills to obtain qualifying marks in examinations
Mr. Sinha believes, schooling should be far above the rigid boundary of textbooks, examination and marks. He believes that education should aim to equip students with all the required skills, values and characters to lead the personal as well as professional life successfully and thus to become a responsible person of the society and the world.
